PDF Forms give you to contol of your documents
PDF Forms are easy to use, can be distributed quickly and easily at little cost and they work on
all computing platforms.
Every company uses forms of some description whether they are questionnaires, fax headers, expense claims, order
forms, purchase orders, exam papers, service agreements or invoices. Some companies create their forms from within
a database while others use programs like Word or Excel to produce these documents.
One of the major problems associated with using a Word processor to create a form is that the alignment of
tables, columns, boarders and text move around when you open them on different computers.
To make matters worse, Word documents are completely editable by the recipient so you might not want to
use them where sensitive information needs to be protected, i.e your terms and conditions, or where
the formatting of the document is important.
Enter the PDF form. A clever little document that is easy to distribute and use on a PC or MAC

Most people just use the free Adobe Reader to view and print PDF files and this is perfectly ok.
However, if you want to do anything clever with a PDF you will quickly find that Adobe want you to purchase one of
their very expensive PDF products that allows you to create your own forms.
A PDF form can be created with areas that are fixed, i.e. your terms and conditions, tax rates,
logo etc while other areas of the document are left open for editing by your colleagues, customers, students and
associates. If you open a PDF form within the free Adobe Reader you can fill in the editable sections and print the
document, which is acceptable in many cases. When you close the document the Adobe PDF Reader will tell you that
'You cannot save any data you enter into this form...." and if you try to save it you only save the original,
blank, copy of the form.
If you need to save a copy of the form including the data, Becker can provide you with a free PDF
Viewer that gives you a lot more features than the standard Adobe Reader.
Now the important part! PDF or eForms can help you gather information quickly and easily ensuring
that the layout and format of your documents cannot be amended. They can be distributed via your web site, intranet
or email making them very useful little documents.
PDF forms can also be used to significantly improve the accuracy of recognition of data
if the forms are processed using one of our data capture systems.
When forms are created they can include fields with drop down lists, calculated fields, checkboxes
and a variety of other form controls that help the recipient fill in the form quickly and help you process the
information easily when the form is returned.
Becker provide a quick and easy PDF form creation service to convert your existing paper documents
or electronic equivalents (Word, Excel etc) into editable PDF's that will give you back control and make data
capture much easier.
